For domestic students, the total course fees are AUD $10,000 (AUD $2,500 per unit), plus a one-time non-refundable application fee of AUD $500. For international students, the total tuition fees are AUD $12,500 (AUD $3,125 per unit), with a non-refundable deposit component of AUD $500 and the total amount paid up front prior to issue of Confirmation of Enrolment being AUD $12,500.
The Graduate Certificate in Police Leadership includes one semester with a total of 40 credit points: 30 credit points of core units (MGL400 Police Leadership Communication and Impact, MPL400 Advanced Policing and Essential Services, and MPL402 Community Policing and Public Order) and 10 credit points of one elective unit.
International student applicants whose entry qualifications were obtained in an institution where English is not the language of instruction normally require an International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) of 6.0, with a score of not less than 5.5 in any of the four skill areas, or equivalent.
Yes. The course allows flexibility for students who may wish to start with a short postgraduate course before committing to a Masters or Graduate Diploma, or for students who need to exit the Masters or Graduate Diploma earlier than intended due to unforeseen personal or professional reasons.
Graduates will be able to: demonstrate advanced and integrated knowledge of relevant literature in the field of police leadership; apply advanced and coherent crisis communication skills and partnerships to lead, guide, and mentor others; critically evaluate data and intelligence for effective decision-making; develop and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, autonomy, and critical thinking to communicate complex knowledge and ideas to a variety of audiences; and utilise professional skills for ethical conduct and career acceleration in police leadership.
