Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting provides a pathway to the Master of Professional Accounting or Master of Professional Accounting Advanced, with credit of four subjects towards the master's degree. Progression to other master's degrees, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), may also be possible with some credit.
The indicative full-fee paying place is $8,376 per session and $16,753 for the full course (2026 figures). In 2026, domestic students may be eligible for either a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) or a UOW-subsidised fee reduction of up to 75% off the fees listed above.
Applicants require a recognised bachelor's degree or a tertiary academic qualification with a duration of at least three years' full-time equivalent. Applicants with three years' full-time equivalent managerial or professional work experience in accounting will also be considered.
The course is available to start in Trimester 1 (February), Trimester 2 (May), and Trimester 3 (August) each year. In 2026, session start dates are 9 February, 18 May, and 24 August respectively.
The Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting is available on campus at both Wollongong and Sydney campuses, delivered on campus.
