The 2026 indicative total fee for domestic (local) students is AU$17,280. For international students, the 2026 indicative total fee is AU$23,040. In addition, a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of up to AU$373 applies for 2026. Eligible domestic students may defer tuition fees via the Commonwealth Government's FEE-HELP loan scheme. The program is offered on a full-fee paying basis only.
The Graduate Certificate in Property has two intakes per year: February and July. The program takes 6 months to complete full-time, or 1 year part-time. The course is delivered at RMIT's Melbourne City Campus.
To be considered for entry, you must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification), OR have a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a related industry. Applicants with senior-level experience of less than 5 years may also be considered. If applying based on work experience, you must submit a CV and personal statement with your application. There are no prerequisite subjects and no selection task required.
The course includes four subjects: Valuation Techniques and Property Analysis, Real Estate Law, Investment Evaluation Techniques for Real Estate, and Building Systems. The program code is GC051 and the plan code for the City Campus is GC051P6 (CRICOS: 103225D).
Yes. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate in Property, you can continue your studies in the GD090 Graduate Diploma in Property or the MC212 Master of Property, subject to those programs' entrance requirements. You will receive 48 credit points of advanced standing into either of these programs.
Graduates are equipped to work as property professionals across diverse property industries and sectors, including roles in real estate, valuation, government property, and commercial property. You will have skills in critical analysis, problem solving, strategy development and implementation, and effective communication with a variety of industry stakeholders. The program includes Work Integrated Learning (WIL), giving you experience in professional or vocational property and valuation practice in real or simulated work settings.
