Graduate Certificate in Sport Analytics

All applicants:

Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).

Specialisation - compulsory: Sport and/or business and/or STEM-/or relevant industry experience as determined by Course Coordinator

Prior learning developed through relevant work experience or professional accreditation, where it is deemed to be at least equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor degree, may be considered. In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors, including academic record, English proficiency and/or employment experience.

Inherent requirements

Behavioural and relational skills

€‹Students must demonstrate appropriate behavioural and interpersonal communication skills that will allow them to manage learning environments given varied teaching methods and diverse staff and student backgrounds and perspectives.€‹

Cognition

Students must be able to follow instruction, seek out and use retained knowledge to make appropriate decisions and actions as they progress through their course. They must be able to sustain their attention during practical learning activities and to complete complex assessment tasks.

Sensory Capability

Students must be able to manipulate, analyse, visualise and present data for interpretation and communication

Strength and mobility

Students must be able manage computer hardware and software.

International students:

English language requirements

6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Graduate with the technical and analytical skills to collect, manage, analyse and communicate sport data. Possible roles include:

• sport analyst
• game analyst
• data analyst
• data scientist.

This course provides a pathway to further study through the Graduate Diploma in Sport Analytics and Master of Sport Analytics. You may be eligible to apply for advanced standing of up to six months of full-time study.
