Graduate Certificate in Start Up Scale Up

This program is suspended from Quarter 2, 2026, no new students will be admitted from this session. The Graduate Certificate in Start Up Scale Up is designed for innovative students and small-to-medium enterprises providing a unique opportunity to engage with the University’s business and technology incubator environment. You will learn fundamental business skills integral to starting a business or scaling a business up in order to meet new regional or global demands or leading intrapreneurial innovation in an organisational context. You will have the option to choose two of four subjects in the areas of Innovation, Creativity, Digital Technology and/or Management Capabilities to allow you to personalise your learning. The program also includes a capstone applied learning subject that provides hands-on experience in the creation of a new business or business innovation. Offered as a Grad Certificate/Grad Diploma qualification of 40 credit points, it is normally completed in 0.5 years full-time and 1 year part-time. It is administered within Western Sydney University's Business academic area. Subjects include Start-up, Innovation Through Digital Technology, Innovation, Creativity and Foresight, Innovation for New Markets and Entrepreneurial Management Capabilities.
