Students will use industry-standard software and technology including Synthesio and Hootsuite for publishing, engaging and analysing social media content and trends; WIX to create, publish and manage website content; Google Analytics to analyse website performance; and Gaze Recorder to analyse the effectiveness of digital content on a website.
The course takes 0.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent, and is available in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 intakes at the City Campus or Online.
The estimated 1st year indicative fee is AUD $15,550 for domestic fee-paying students and AUD $20,050 for international students. Note that at ECU you pay for individual units you enrol in, not an overall course fee, so the total cost may vary depending on your unit choices.
Academic admission requirements (Band 6) can be met through completion of a Bachelor degree or equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience. English language requirements (Band 4) can be met through an IELTS Academic overall band minimum score of 6.5 (with no individual band less than 6.0), or other approved qualifications and experience as listed on the English Proficiency Bands page.
You will learn to apply independent judgement when analysing and evaluating complex problems, communicate specialised digital marketing knowledge to a variety of audiences, and demonstrate skills in data-driven marketing in authentic business environments. Graduates can pursue roles such as Digital Marketing Specialist, Social Media Manager, Content Creator, Social Media Strategist, Marketing Coordinator, or Digital Marketing Campaign Coordinator, and may also consider progressing to the Master of Marketing and Innovation Management.
