On completing the Undergraduate Certificate Introduction to Arts, Social Sciences and Languages, you will be eligible to use the credit you've gained towards further study in a Diploma of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, or Diploma of Indigenous Research. Should you continue your studies with a Diploma of Arts or Bachelor of Arts at CDU, all credits for the Undergraduate Certificate will be transferred.
This 40-credit point course consists of two (2) Core Units — LAL100 Language, Literacy and Sustainability and IAS201 Cultural Capabilities — and two (2) Specialist Elective units chosen from a range of units at an Introductory level across specialisations including Indigenous Research, Global Humanities, Languages, Digital Media, and Society and Culture.
The course is available 100% online or on campus at the Danala - Education and Community Precinct. Please note the course is not available to international students.
Yes, offers for the Undergraduate Certificate Introduction to Arts, Social Sciences and Languages can be deferred.
Domestic students can satisfy the English language requirement through one of the following: successful completion of Year 12 in Australia or an equivalent qualification from an approved English-speaking country; at least 0.5FTE of higher education study from Australia or an approved country; completion of a CDU enabling program of at least 0.5FTE (40 credit points); a recognised TAFE qualification at Certificate III level or higher; current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 or Division 2 nurse; or an approved English test such as IELTS Academic with an overall minimum of 6.0 and no band below 6.0.
