Common Questions
The course has a duration of 0.5 year full-time or part-time equivalent. As a full-time student you will study four credit points per trimester and usually undertake two trimesters per year. Note that Trimester 2 (July start) is part-time study only.
If you do not hold a bachelor degree, you may still be considered for admission with at least two years' relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent). Relevant experience typically includes roles focused on data-driven decision-making and analytics, such as data analytics, business intelligence, consulting, information systems, data science, operations research, or fields like financial, marketing, cybersecurity or supply chain analytics. A combination of qualifications and experience may also be deemed equivalent to minimum academic requirements.
The estimated tuition fee for a full-fee paying place is $16,400. This is provided as a guide only and represents the typical tuition fees for students completing the course within the same year they started, calculated by adding together four credit points of study. You may be eligible for a HELP loan — including FEE-HELP or HECS-HELP — depending on your course, type of fee place, and citizenship or residency status.
Yes. The Graduate Certificate of Business Analytics is a pathway to Deakin's industry-leading Master of Business Analytics (M761). It also provides a pathway to the Graduate Diploma of Business Analytics for those looking to deepen their expertise before proceeding to the master's degree.

There are two intakes: Trimester 1 starting in March, available at Burwood (Melbourne) and Online; and Trimester 2 starting in July, also available at Burwood (Melbourne) and Online, however Trimester 2 is part-time study only. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
