Academic admission requirements (Band 6) may be satisfied through a bachelor degree or equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience. English language requirements (Band 4) can be met through an IELTS Academic overall band minimum score of 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0), a bachelor degree from a specified country, completed postgraduate study at an Australian higher education provider, or equivalent prior learning including at least five years relevant professional experience.
The course takes 0.5 years full-time or part-time equivalent, and is available for study in Semester 1 and Semester 2 at the City Campus or Online.
The course comprises three units: Managing People and Organisations (FBL5010), Marketing Leadership (FBL5020), and Global Hospitality Operations Management (HOS6504), each worth 20 credit points.
The estimated 1st year indicative fee is AUD $15,550 for domestic fee-paying students and AUD $20,050 for international students. Note that at ECU you pay for individual units you enrol in, not an overall course fee, so the total cost may vary.
Graduates may pursue management roles across a range of global hospitality enterprises, with possible job titles including Hotel Manager, Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Business Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Front Office Manager, Resort Manager, Convention Centre Manager, Event Operations Manager, Hospitality Services Manager, and Catering and Food Services Manager. Students may also consider progressing to the Master of International Hospitality Management.
