The Graduate Certificate of Information Systems requires students to complete a total of 4 subjects over 1 trimester for full-time students.
Yes. Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Information Systems are eligible to apply for admission into KOI's Master of Information Technology, and will be given a maximum of 4 credits for prior learning for studies completed within the Graduate Certificate. Graduates may also use the qualification to gain admission into many other master level courses in Australia and overseas.
There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites for the Graduate Certificate of Information Systems.
Graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of information systems and awareness of recent developments to identify, analyse and assist in solving complex information systems problems; apply critical thinking to identify and analyse current theories, developments and emerging trends in information systems; communicate appropriate IT solutions effectively to stakeholders; demonstrate personal autonomy, judgement, decision-making and accountability for professional practice; and articulate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities in applying IT skills and knowledge.
Each subject in the Graduate Certificate of Information Systems is worth 4 credit points.
