The Graduate Certificate of Information Technology is designed for students from an IT background who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in an IT area such as information technology, information systems, software engineering, or computer science.
Students can choose one IT elective from the following options: ICT722 Information Security, ICT723 Virtualisation and Cloud Computing, ICT724 Intelligent Systems, or ICT725 User Experience and Mobile Application Development, provided the subject is offered in the trimester they wish to study it and they have met the relevant pre-requisites.
Depending on the elective chosen, graduates may find employment as a Junior Programmer, Junior Mobile Application Developer, or a Junior Analyst.
Yes. Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology are eligible to apply for admission into further postgraduate qualifications in Australia and overseas. Specifically, graduates may apply for admission to KOI's Graduate Diploma of Information Technology or Master of Information Technology, with credit given for relevant studies completed within the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology.
