Most students will receive a mix of both online and on campus classes with no more than one third being delivered online. Classes are normally held across 2 days, for example Tuesday and Thursday, with sessions running from 9 am – 12 pm, 1 pm – 4 pm, or 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
There are two academic entry options: Entry Option 1 requires an Australian Bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent. Entry Option 2 requires successful completion of a Diploma (AQF5) or Advanced Diploma (AQF6) in a related discipline plus a minimum of three years full-time professional experience in related fields. English proficiency is also required, with a minimum Academic IELTS Overall 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) or equivalent.
Yes, graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology may choose to progress into the Master of Information Technology or Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security), receiving credit for completed subjects.
If you're an international student, you can work 48 hours per fortnight during ongoing terms, and unlimited hours during holiday breaks. Domestic students do not have a working cap.
Yes. All AIBI HE students are eligible to sign up for a free ACS (Australian Computer Society) membership, which is the professional association for Australia's technology sector with 48,000+ members. Students who study cyber security are also eligible for a free AISA (Australian Information Security Association) membership, a nationally recognised peak body for cyber security professionals.
