Students who wish to enter the CA Program of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Associate Membership for the CPA Program of CPA Australia, the IPA Program of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), or who wish to apply for exemptions with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) are advised that it is their responsibility to ensure they take the appropriate units required for entry.
The estimated tuition fee for a full-fee paying place is $17,100, calculated based on four credit points of study. The actual cost will vary depending on the units you choose, your study load, the length of your course, and any approved Recognition of Prior Learning. You may also be eligible for a Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) loan, including FEE-HELP or HECS-HELP, depending on your course, type of fee place, and citizenship or residency status.
Yes. As a graduate you can progress to the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting (M696) or the Master of Professional Accounting (M742), allowing you to pursue more advanced roles in the accounting profession.
To be considered for admission, you will need either the completion of a bachelor degree or at least two years' relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent). A combination of qualifications and experience may be deemed equivalent to minimum academic requirements. For English language proficiency, you will need to demonstrate at least one of the following: a bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country, an IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent, or other evidence of English language proficiency.
The Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting is available at Burwood (Melbourne) and Online across three trimesters: Trimester 1 starting in March, Trimester 2 starting in July, and Trimester 3 starting in November. Please note this course is available for part-time study only in Trimester 3. Direct applications for Trimester 2 2026 close 21 June 2026, and for Trimester 3 2026 close 18 October 2026.
