You will need to complete 48 credit points in total, including 12 credit points of core units of study, 18 credit points of core elective units of study, and a maximum of 18 credit points of elective units of study.
Students will benefit from collaboration with eminent institutions including the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
Students have access to gallery spaces, art studios, practical expertise, a shared postgraduate culture, the Schaeffer Library (described as Australia's finest dedicated modern and contemporary art library), a vibrant calendar of social events, research seminars, an active student association, and access to the University's art collections and galleries.
The closing date for Semester 1 intake is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 intake is 15 July of the commencing year. Note that separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
The course is taught partly at Sydney College of the Arts, where students have access to gallery spaces and art studios as part of a shared postgraduate culture at the University of Sydney.
