Yes. With the approval of the Course Coordinator, you can select subjects from across the broad range of disciplines offered by the Melbourne School of Design, allowing you to create an individualised course of study.
The Graduate Diploma in Built Environments can be completed in 1 year full time or 2 years part time, and is delivered on campus at Parkville.
The course has two intake periods — March and July — giving students flexibility in when they begin their studies.
The indicative first year fee for 2026 is AUD $45,984. Please note that Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are not available for this course.
This course is of great benefit to students who do not wish to specialise in one particular area, are not yet certain where their interests and career aspirations lie, or possess a relevant existing qualification and wish to enhance their qualifications through advanced studies in areas of their choice.
