Common Questions
At UTS, these qualifications are part of nested programs that build on each other. A graduate certificate is typically the first four subjects of a master's degree, a graduate diploma covers the first eight subjects, and the full master's degree comprises a total of 12 subjects. Students can also further specialise by completing an Extension Masters, which adds another 4 subjects on top of the master's.
Yes. Generally speaking, as long as you've completed subjects that are deemed equivalent to those at UTS within a 10-year period, you should be eligible for some recognition of prior learning (RPL). You need to apply for your course first, and then once you've received an offer, you can submit your RPL application to the Student Centre for approval. UTS recommends looking over unit outlines and comparing subject descriptions within the UTS handbook to see which ones are most relevant to any prior study you've done.
Generally, subjects are leaning more to being back on campus, so students can expect to attend campus for the majority of subjects. However, entirely online programs are also available. Students also have some flexibility to choose class times, with evening classes available, making it possible to balance study with work and personal commitments.
UTS provides a fee calculator on their website where you can search by student type (e.g. domestic), commencement year, and course name to see the total credit points, fee per credit point, and fee per session. The fee per session is based on a full-time student load of 4 subjects per session. For part-time students, it is recommended to look at the fee per credit point to calculate costs.
The typical entry point for applicants without an undergraduate degree is the graduate certificate (the first four subjects of the master's program). Upon successful completion of the graduate certificate, these students can then transfer internally into either the graduate diploma or the master's degree.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
