The student workload in the graduate diploma will be carried out in five two-week blocks of full-time work, interspersed with periods of personal practice with specific tasks. Students will complete 48 credit points of eight compulsory units.
You will need to submit the English Language Declaration Form, a copy of your current AHPRA Dental Registration certificate (domestic) or overseas practicing Dental registration certificate (international), a criminal record check, a current detailed Resumé outlining your employment history and relevant experience as a Dentist, contact details of two work-related referees, proof of identity, official academic transcripts, final testamur or proof of completion of your qualification, and proof of English proficiency where required.
Applications open on 1 September, two years prior to the commencement year. For the 2027 intake, applications close on 4 May 2026. Separate deadlines apply for scholarships.
For tests taken on or after 23 April 2026, applicants must achieve a minimum IELTS (Academic) overall score of 7 with at least 7 in each component, or a PTE Academic overall score of 72 with 72 in listening, reading, and writing and 76 in speaking, or a TOEFL iBT total of 96 with 23 in listening, 23 in reading, 25 in writing, and 24 in speaking. For tests taken on or prior to 22 April 2026, slightly different TOEFL iBT sub-scores apply. All tests must be completed within two years of the course commencement date. Applicants may also qualify under the English as Primary Language declaration if they meet specified education criteria.
Yes. International applicants must provide evidence of a current overseas practicing Dental registration certificate showing the expiry date (with an official English translation if not in English), and must also submit a Criminal Record Check from their own country at the time of application (again with an official English translation if not in English). All other standard documentation requirements also apply.
