Yes. Credit is available into the Master of Communication upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma of Communication.
The course requires 24 credit points in total: 15 credit points from five required units (Communicating Politics, Communication Trends and Innovation, Industry and Identity: Challenges and Triumphs, Communication and Behaviour Change, and Digital Data Analytics and Visualisation), plus 9 credit points chosen from a list of restricted choice elective units.
The standard duration is 1 year full time or part-time equivalent, with a maximum of 4 years from date of enrolment to date of course completion.
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent. The University will also consider English proficiency, academic record and/or employment experience. The English language requirement is an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent). Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Communication (UC) or the Graduate Certificate in Communication (Engagement) may apply and receive credit for 12 credit points (4 units).
The course is open for domestic admissions in Semester 1 (starting 16 February 2026) and Semester 2 (starting 10 August 2026) in 2026, and similarly in Semester 1 (starting 15 February 2027) and Semester 2 (starting 09 August 2027) in 2027, all delivered at Bruce, Canberra.
