You will develop a critical understanding of the aesthetics and politics of computer games and mobile media, the production and circulation of knowledge in the digital era, diverse meanings and operations of networks, the activity of digital media audiences, and diverse forms of regulation of the internet.
You will complete 8 units of study totalling 48 credit points, including 24 credit points of core units of study. Other units are normally chosen from the list of approved electives or undertaken in a relevant or related field, subject to the approval of the academic coordinator.
Yes, you may choose elective units based on selected and recommended pathways from Arts and Social Sciences, Sydney College of the Arts, Interactive Design and Electronic Arts, and Information Technologies.
For domestic students, applications open on 15 March of the preceding year. The closing date for Semester 1 is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 it is 15 July of the commencing year.
