Common Questions
No, this course does not provide registration to teach in Australia. It is designed to meet the needs of trainers and teachers in education, community, government and industry settings, rather than to qualify graduates for school teaching registration.
The course is delivered via Victoria University's award-winning VU Block Model®, where you complete one subject at a time over four weeks rather than juggling several at once. Learning takes place in workshop-style classes, allowing you to develop strong connections with your peers and practical skills for your future career, and you receive fast feedback on your assignments.
The fee type for this course is Full Fee, meaning it is not government subsidised and you will pay the total cost of each unit. The indicative fees for a full-time student are AU$27,000 per year. In addition to tuition fees, you will also need to pay a Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
Yes. The Graduate Diploma in Education is the second of three graduate courses at Victoria University. Successful completion gains you admission to the Master of Education. The credits earned during your study for the Graduate Certificate in Education also count towards this diploma, and the credits from the diploma count towards the masters degree.
To be considered for this course, applicants need to have completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a similar discipline, OR an Australian Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) in a similar discipline, OR have a minimum of three (3) years of approved work experience. All applicants are also required to submit a current CV. Meeting the minimum admission criteria does not guarantee entry, as past academic performance may also be considered.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
