Yes. The Graduate Diploma in Global Health provides an articulation pathway into the Master of Global Health. You can also elect to further your studies by adding an extension to gain research experience through additional research methodology courses and/or an advanced research project, which may make you eligible to apply to pursue a PhD. Additionally, you can combine the master's degree with health leadership and management, public health or infectious diseases intelligence through dual or dual extension options.
The program offers flexible learning options including face-to-face (which includes blended learning) and fully online delivery. Courses can be taken online or face-to-face, full-time or part-time. The online learning spaces facilitate collaborative learning so you can connect with fellow students and course convenors in real-time, allowing you to complete your study from anywhere in the world.
The Graduate Diploma in Global Health can be completed in one year of full-time study or approximately 1.7 years part-time. The program consists of 36 Units of Credit (UOC) made up of six courses in total — two core courses and four elective courses.
For 2026, the indicative first year full fee for domestic students is $29,500, with the same amount to complete the degree. For international students, the indicative first year full fee is $45,500, with an indicative full fee to complete the degree of $46,500. A limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are also available for domestic students, with a 2026 indicative CSP first year fee of $7,500. All fees are subject to annual review and are indicative only.

UNSW offers a range of domestic and international internship placements in Australia, Asia and the Pacific, providing opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge to professional practice in real-world health settings.
