QUT's IT programs are led by notable academics including Professor Daniel Johnson, a leading figure in game research and interaction design; Associate Professor Wasana Bandara, a globally recognised expert in information systems who has taught more than 30 different courses; and Associate Professor Leonie Simpson, a cryptographer and expert in information security and cyber security who coordinated a Cyber Security unit catering to more than 1,000 students in 2023.
