Students can contact the Student Support Officer on 07 3667 9512 during office hours (9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday). After hours, 24/7 support is available through 1800 Respect (1800 737 732) or the State-wide Sexual Assault Helpline on 1800 010 120. In an emergency, students should dial triple zero (000).
According to the Student Academic and Non-academic Procedure, a student found in breach may face consequences including fines, suspension, and expulsion. Sexual assault is also a crime and can result in severe criminal penalties under the law, and the institution is bound under the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW) to report many serious offences to the Police.
Consent means a free, voluntary and informed agreement between people to participate in a sexual act. The five core concepts of consent are: free and voluntary; specific and informed; affirmative and communicated; ongoing and mutual; and reflects capacity. Consent cannot be given by any person under the age of 16 years in most Australian states, except South Australia and Tasmania where the age limit is 17 years.
Sexual harassment is any unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature which a reasonable person would expect will make the recipient feel offended, humiliated or intimidated. It can be verbal, non-verbal, written, graphic or physical, and depending on the nature of the harassment, it can sometimes amount to sexual assault.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
