Course Overview
NOTE: this course only runs if minimum enrolment numbers are met.
This course, together with the Bachelor of Surveying and Spatial Sciences or its equivalent, provides the necessary qualifications for registration with the Tasmanian Land Surveyors Accreditation Board for the purposes of the Surveyors Act; and for reciprocal registration in other States of Australia.
This is a fully-prescribed course. All five units (100 credit points) must be completed.
On completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
1 Perform cadastral surveys that adhere to the professional and legal regulations that inform the work of a land surveyor.
2 Employ professional and ethical standards in land surveying practice
3 Explain the roles and responsibilities of Land Surveyors in society

Eligibility
Domestic students:
Candidates for the Graduate Diploma of Land Surveying shall be qualified for entry if they hold a Bachelor of Surveying and Spatial Sciences (73G) degree or hold other tertiary qualification(s) deemed by the College to be equivalent for this purpose.

Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, meet any prerequisite subjects, and meet English language requirements to be eligible for an offer.
English Language Requirements
For students who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, evidence of an approved English language test completed within the last 2 years must be provided. See the English Language Requirements page for more information.
