About This Course

You will apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. You also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, you would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others. This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

International Students

Minimum 18 years of age.
Academic Requirements: Diploma/Advanced Diploma qualification in any field of study (onshore or offshore) or equivalent; OR Bachelor's degree in any field of study (onshore or offshore) or equivalent; OR Evidence of relevant work experience (no less than 3 years in a senior management or leadership position).
English Requirements: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.0 in the Academic section and no band less than 5.5 for the other sections.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Internet-Based Test must have scored 67-80.
Pearson Test of English (PTE) must have scored 51 or higher.
Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) ESOL test must have score 169 or higher.
OET score must be minimum C Grade.
Duolingo English Test must have a minimum score 105-115.
CEFR Levels / Oxford Test must be minimum in level B2.
CELPIP General must have a score of 7.
LANGUAGECERT Academic must have a minimum score of 65.
Michigan English Test must have a minimum score of 53.
Evidence that English is the medium of instruction at the student's school and has been for the last two (2) years. The student has a satisfactory grade in the language.
If the student does not have current proof of one of the above listed English Language Tests, they will be required to take an English Placement Test administered by Skills Australia Institute (SAI).

Australian Permanent Residents

Minimum 18 years of age.
Completion of year 12 or equivalent; AND Diploma/Advanced Diploma qualification in any field of study (onshore or offshore) or equivalent; OR Bachelor's degree in any field of study (onshore or offshore) or equivalent; OR Evidence of relevant work experience (no less than 3 years in a senior management or leadership position).
An English Language pass level in an Australian Senior Certificate of Education (Year 12) or equivalent; or Satisfactory completion of an accredited Australian qualification equivalent to AQF Level 7 or above; or Satisfactory completion of an accredited tertiary award in English; or Evidence of working in an organisation at a senior management level for no less than 3 years.

What are the intake dates for the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) at the Perth campus?

For 2026, the Perth campus has four intake dates: 05 January, 06 April, 06 July, and 05 October. Note that the Adelaide campus is currently not enrolling new students for this course.

How long does the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) take to complete?

The course duration is 104 weeks, structured as four (4) semesters of 26 weeks each. Each semester consists of two terms of study (10 weeks each), plus a three (3) week break at the end of each term, totalling 24 weeks of breaks across the course.

What English language test scores do international students need to meet for this course?
