About This Course

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others. This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability. The job roles that relate to this qualification may also include RTO Manager and RTO Director.

General Requirements

Students must be above 18 years of age while filling up the application form
Applicants should have successfully completed year 12 or secondary studies in applicant's home country equivalent to Australian senior secondary school examination
Mature Age students will also be considered without the minimum education requirements considering they have relevant work experience within the chosen area of study and a demonstrated capacity to meet the course requirements. A minimum of 2 years' experience would normally be expected; each case will be reviewed individually with relevant work experience evidence in the form of an employment reference letter on company letterhead, work samples and curriculum vitae submitted
International students require a minimum IELTS (General) test score of 6.0 or equivalent for direct entry; or IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent with an ELICOS course (up to 10 weeks); or IELTS score of 5.0 or equivalent with an ELICOS course (up to 20 weeks). Results older than two years are not acceptable
Oxford Placement Test with score of 61 or higher is also accepted (equivalent to IELTS 5.5)
Evidence that the applicant has studied in English for at least five years in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa or the Republic of Ireland
Evidence that the applicant is a citizen of and holds a valid passport from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland
Evidence that, within two years of their signed written agreement date, they have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification from the Australian Qualifications Framework
All prospective students are required to complete a Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills assessment prior to enrolment at ACSF Level 4 (Performance Level)
Students must have basic computer skills and access to a laptop or computer with Windows 7 operating system or higher
Students must have an active email address and access to MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word

How long does the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) take to complete?

The total course duration is 94 weeks, including holiday breaks. There are 70 delivery weeks and 24 weeks of holiday breaks. The volume of learning is 1,690 hours, delivered on a full-time basis at a minimum of 20 hours per week.

What are the English language requirements for international students?

International students require a minimum IELTS (General) score of 6.0 for direct entry, or 5.5 combined with at least 10 weeks of ELICOS, or 5.0 combined with at least 20 weeks of ELICOS. Equivalent scores from other recognised tests such as PTE Academic (50), Cambridge English Advanced (169), or TOEFL iBT (64) are also accepted. Test results older than two years are not acceptable. An Oxford Placement Test score of 61 or higher is also accepted.

What is the total cost of the course?

The total course fee is $55,500 AUD, which comprises a Tuition Fee of $10,500 AUD and a Non-Tuition Fee of $45,000 AUD.

How many units do students need to complete for this qualification?

Students must complete 8 units of competency in total: 3 core units (TAELED803, BSBLDR811, and BSBHRM613) and 5 elective units (BSBLDR812, BSBINS603, BSBCRT611, BSBFIN601, and BSBSTR801).

What are the academic entry requirements for this course?
