Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

The BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), delivered by the West Australian Institute of Further Studies (WAIFS) in Perth, is a highly specialised qualification for individuals who generate and evaluate complex ideas and take full responsibility for major learning and development functions within an organisation. It suits leaders and managers who use learning to build organisational capability, and can lead to roles such as RTO Manager or RTO Director.

Across 8 units of competency (3 core, 5 elective), students contribute to learning and development strategy, lead strategic transformation, and implement improved learning practice, with electives spanning organisational performance development, organisational change, collaborative partnerships and innovative thinking.

The course runs over 104 weeks (96 study weeks plus 8 weeks holiday), delivered face-to-face on Saturdays and Sundays (8:45am–5:00pm) at WAIFS' Perth campus, with intakes every 6 weeks. Assessment combines classroom delivery, simulated environments, presentations and written assessments, and RPL is available for eligible applicants.

Career pathways include Training and Development Professional, Career Development Manager (Education Sector), RTO Manager and RTO Education Advisor, spanning teacher education, education administration and human resource management.
