Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

The BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) is designed for students who want to apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in organisational learning and capability development. Students learn to generate and evaluate complex ideas, and to initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation, typically taking on full responsibility and accountability for the output of others. The qualification suits leaders and managers in organisations where learning is used to build organisational capability, as well as students pursuing a career in organisational learning, moving into a new industry sector, or seeking a pathway to higher-level qualifications. Eight units are studied in total — three core and five elective — covering areas such as learning and development strategy, strategic transformation and improved learning practice, alongside electives in organisational performance, critical thinking, business planning and innovative practice. Training is delivered in blended mode, combining 15 hours of face-to-face learning with 5 hours online via Moodle, across 104 weeks (80 weeks of training and assessment over eight 10-week terms, plus 24 weeks of holidays), at Alpha Institute's Belconnen (ACT) and Sydney CBD (NSW) campuses.
