Entry Requirements

General Requirements

All students must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to the College
Successful completion of an AQF level 5 (Diploma level qualification) or higher at an Australian tertiary educational institution or of an equivalent award OR – Completed at least two years of study in an Australian tertiary education system OR – Completed a minimum of two years of full-time workplace experience in an operational or leadership role
IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) regulations
Learners are required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy test prior to commencing the training
Online IELTS will not be accepted
Bring Your Own Device Policy is applicable for this course. Your device must have camera and speaker functions
Internet Access with a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Adobe Flash Player
Basic digital literacy (ability to communicate and access information through digital technologies like internet platforms, social media, search engines, emails and basic use of MS office products)

How many units do I need to complete to achieve the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)?

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in 8 units of competency, including 3 core units and 5 elective units.

What are the English language requirements for international students?

International students must have an IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) regulations. Online IELTS will not be accepted. Learners are also required to undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) test prior to commencing the training.

What assessment methods are used in this course?

Assessment methods for this qualification include Guided Online Learning and Training (GOLT), written questions, projects, observations, presentations, case studies, reports, practical activities and work placement (if applicable only). GOLT are online, auto-marked summative assessments like True/False, Fill-in-the-Blanks, and Multiple-Choice questions.

Can I receive credit for previous study or work experience?

Yes. Orange College offers both Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If a certificate or statement of results is produced and verified, a credit transfer process will be initiated. RPL is an assessment process that assesses an individual's non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes, competency outcomes, or standards for entry to, and/or partial or total completion of, a qualification.
