Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

The Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) (BSB80120) is designed for professionals developing advanced expertise in strategic leadership, learning development and organisational growth. Delivered by Waratah Polytechnic at its Burwood campus in Sydney, the course covers workplace learning strategy design, leading innovation and transformational change, critical thinking in management, and overseeing professional development programs.

The program follows a blended learning model of 15 hours face-to-face training, 5 hours of structured online learning, and around 5 hours of self-study per week, delivered across 8 terms, drawing on leadership and business strategy workshops and collaboration with industry professionals for experiential learning. Assessment includes research-based projects, case studies, group assignments, leadership simulations and business strategy evaluations.

Graduates are prepared for roles such as Learning and Development Manager, Corporate Trainer, Organisational Development Consultant, Human Resource Manager and Training and Development Specialist, with pathways into Chief Learning Officer (CLO) or Executive Director of Learning and Development. Graduates can progress to a Master's degree in Business, Leadership or Education, or doctorate-level studies in management or organisational development.
