The total course fee is AUD $24,000, plus a non-refundable enrolment fee of $300 (to be paid on application) and material fees of $400. Additional non-tuition fees may also apply and can be found in the International Student Handbook on the Western Star Academy website.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods including knowledge questions, projects and observations. Knowledge questions are completed in class or as part of online assessment sessions, while projects and observations are completed in class. Assessment tasks reflect real life work tasks, are required to be performed within industry standard timeframes, and utilise authentic workplace documentation.
Yes, students can apply for recognition of existing qualifications or skills, knowledge and experience through credit transfer or recognition of prior learning (RPL). If course credit is granted, it will affect both the course fees and the duration of the course. The college will advise students in writing of any changes to fees or course duration, and a new Confirmation of Enrolment will be issued.
