Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

The BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) at Orange College reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas, and initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically they have full responsibility and accountability for their personal output and for the work of others. The qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability, and related job roles include RTO Manager and RTO Director. To achieve the qualification, candidates must demonstrate competency in 8 units — 3 core units and 5 electives. Core units cover contributing to the development of learning and development strategies, leading strategic transformation, and implementing improved learning practice.

Elective units cover leading and managing organisational change, developing and cultivating collaborative partnerships and relationships, facilitating knowledge management, initiating and leading applied research, and leading corporate social responsibility. Three electives must be selected from the listed units, with up to two more from an Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in this or another endorsed Training Package or accredited course. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. The course is delivered as full-time study over 52 weeks including 12 weeks of breaks/holidays at the Collins Street campus in Melbourne, using a blended learning model of 70% face-to-face and 30% guided online learning.
