To be considered for admission, applicants need either the completion of a major sequence or bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline, or the completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline and at least two years' relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent). English language proficiency requirements include an IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent, or a bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country.
The estimated tuition fee for a full-fee paying place is $34,200 for 1 year full-time. This is provided as a guide only and represents the typical tuition fees for students completing this course within the same year they started. The cost will vary depending on the units you choose, your study load, the length of your course and any approved Recognition of Prior Learning. Students may also be eligible for a Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) loan, including FEE-HELP, depending on their course, type of fee place, and citizenship or residency status.
Yes. You may be able to study available units in the optional third trimester to fast-track your degree. However, your course duration may be extended if there are delays in meeting course requirements, such as completing a placement. The course is offered across three trimesters: Trimester 1 (March), Trimester 2 (July), and Trimester 3 (November), available at both Burwood (Melbourne) and Online.
Upon completion of the Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting, students can progress to the Master of Professional Accounting (M742) or the Master of Commerce. There is also an alternate exit option of the Graduate Certificate of Professional Accounting (M506). The course is recognised at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 8.
