Common Questions
Both domestic and international students must have completed a Bachelor Degree or higher in any discipline, and completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited first year psychology sequence within the last ten years. These units are available for completion at ACAP. International students also need to meet minimum English language requirements (IELTS overall band of 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0, or PTE score of 59), and must have their international qualifications assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for equivalence prior to applying.
The course takes 1 year (3 trimesters) to complete full time, or the equivalent of 6 trimesters part time.
For domestic students, the course consists of 9 units at $3,031 each, making the total indicative course fee $27,279 (plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee). FEE-HELP is available. Note that fees are charged against individual units of study which may increase from time to time and do not take into account personal circumstances such as RPL, credit, repeats and some specialised electives.
Yes, online study is available, but it is only available to Australian Domestic students. Online study offers maximum flexibility around busy lifestyles and is best suited to highly motivated students who are unable to attend on-campus classes on a regular basis. Online students need to devote the same number of hours per week, per unit as on-campus students, to reading course material, participating in group discussions and completing assessments.
The Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science is available at Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Online campuses. However, international students should note that the course is not available to them at the Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Online campuses — international students must study on campus in Melbourne or Sydney. Additionally, the CRICOS Code for this course is 071879A.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
