This qualification will be delivered over 102 weeks, including 78 weeks of training and assessment and 24 weeks of holidays. You will be required to attend face-to-face 20 hours per week training and assessment in a classroom.
Entry to this qualification is limited to those who have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related field plus 3 years of relevant workplace experience at a significant leadership level, OR a Bachelor degree in a related field plus 2 years of relevant workplace experience, OR 5 years of equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility. All applicants must also be at least 18 years of age, complete a course entry interview, undertake an ACSF Level 5 LLN assessment, and have their own portable device with Microsoft Office suite.
The sample weekly timetable includes: Wednesday from 8am to 12.15pm (including a 15-minute break), Thursday from 8am to 5pm (including a 1-hour break), and Friday from 8am to 5pm (including a 1-hour break), totalling 20 hours per week of face-to-face training and assessment.
Assessment is based on the principles of competency-based training. A variety of assessment strategies are used including classroom exercises, assignments, practical demonstrations, group activities, projects, and verbal and/or written questions. Assessment for each unit of competence will be through a combination of classroom-based and work placement tasks. Students are advised well in advance of assessment activities and may put forward any special needs for consideration.
Prospective international students must have achieved a minimum score in one of the following tests taken within the last three years: IELTS 6.0 (or 5.5 with at least 10 weeks ELICOS, or 5.0 with at least 20 weeks ELICOS), TOEFL iBT 64 (or 46/35 with ELICOS), Cambridge English Advanced 169 (or 162/154 with ELICOS), PTE Academic 50 (or 42/36 with ELICOS), or Occupational English Test B for each test component. Citizens holding a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, NZ, or Republic of Ireland are exempt from providing English test results.
