The IELTS course includes two levels: Foundation and Advanced. Each level consists of 12 study weeks, delivered in 6-week learning blocks. Every level includes a 2-week scheduled break, and you may apply for up to 2 additional weeks of self-managed break per level. The maximum enrolment duration for the IELTS program is 32 weeks, including 24 weeks of study and up to 8 weeks of holidays (scheduled and/or self-managed).
Every week you will complete one Practice Test which focuses on one of the macro skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), with teacher feedback and exam tips provided. Every four weeks you must complete a Skills Test which focuses on all macro skills. To receive a Certificate of Attainment, you must complete a minimum of 6 study weeks at the current level, maintain 80% or higher attendance, and score at least 50% in the Skills Test (IELTS Foundation) or 55% in the Skills Test (IELTS Advanced). A Certificate of Participation will be issued if the required criteria are not met.
Student visa holders must maintain a minimum attendance of 80% and attend all scheduled classes (20 hours a week). To maintain satisfactory course progress, students must complete a Skills Test every 4 study weeks and achieve the required score in each macro skill (listening, reading, writing and speaking). Failure to comply with the attendance requirements may result in the implementation of attendance intervention strategies and cancellation of your enrolment.
IELTS classes are offered in the evening only, available at Melbourne and Sydney campuses. Evening classes run from 4:30 pm to 9:45 pm, Monday to Thursday (4 days per week). You can start any Monday, except on public holidays or during official breaks.
Yes, you can request up to 2 weeks of self-managed holiday per level (if your level doesn't already include the maximum 4 weeks of scheduled break). However, you should avoid scheduling study breaks during Skills Test weeks, as these are critical for your academic progress. Keep in mind that your Confirmation of Enrolment can't end with a holiday period.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
