This course aims to assist students in achieving an IELTS score of up to 6.5. Students will be able to produce outcomes of CEFR B1 to CEFR B2 within the level of the IELTS band of 5.0 to 6.5. After or during the studies, students may participate in the actual IELTS examination and receive the actual IELTS result, though the course can only provide the likely outcome.
Assessments are divided into formative and summative types. Formative assessments are conducted in weeks 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11, while summative assessments are conducted in weeks 3, 6, 9 and 12. Students must participate in a minimum of three sets of summative assessments and seven formative assessments per level. All results are recorded on the Academic Progress Record Sheet and teachers provide feedback after each assessment.
Listening is assessed via paper-based in-class participation (listen and answer questions) for 30 minutes. Reading is paper-based with students receiving a band score from 1 to 9, taking 1 hour. Writing is paper-based in class, requiring students to read questions and given information and write responses in the requested format, taking 1 hour. Speaking is face-to-face in-class participation where students answer questions and discuss a given topic, lasting 11–14 minutes.
Students are required to achieve a minimum of 80% attendance. For IELTS Level 1, students must achieve a minimum of 5.5 overall with no individual overall score of less than 5.5, which corresponds to CEFR B2. All results are recorded on the Academic Progress Record Sheet.
To enrol in the IELTS Preparation course, students must have an IELTS Band of 5.0 (CEFR B1), equivalent to the Upper-Intermediate level. Students must also be 18 years of age or over.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
