About This Course

This course is designed to help students prepare for either the General or Academic versions of the IELTS test. Lessons are aimed at improving students' scores on all test components (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), while also introducing high-level grammatical concepts and expanding students' vocabulary. Small class sizes allow our teachers to give you personalised feedback, and design lessons that target specific areas of weakness. Regular practice tests help you familiarise yourself with the test structure and track your progress throughout the course. Whether you are taking the IELTS test for work, study, or migration, we can help you achieve the score you need.

If your English is not at an appropriate level for this course, CCEB will place you in a class at your level

Does the course cover both General and Academic IELTS?

Yes, the course is designed to help students prepare for either the General or Academic versions of the IELTS test, covering all test components: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

What is the study load for this course?

The course is full time and requires 20 hours of in-class study per week, plus 5 hours per week of self-study or activity.

What entry level of English is required to enrol?

Students need to be at a High Intermediate level. A placement test is given on the first day, and if your English is not at the appropriate level, CCEB will place you in a class at your level until you are ready to enter this course.

When can I start the IELTS Preparation course?

Intake dates are every Monday. If any start dates fall on a QLD or National public holiday, the course will commence on the next business day.

The course offers regular practice tests, personalised feedback and academic counselling, progress monitoring, highly-qualified and experienced teachers, a variety of teaching methods to meet a range of learning styles and cultural backgrounds, and free after-school practice covering reading, writing, listening, speaking, and grammar.
