All enrolled students have access to a range of additional study options at no extra charge, including live online evening classes (covering grammar and vocabulary at levels from lower Intermediate to Advanced), the YouSTUDY online Learning Platform, and the YouSTUDY phone app which allows extra vocabulary and pronunciation practice 24/7. Students can also use self-study materials available from the YouSTUDY library on campus.
Yes. Tourist and Working Holiday Visa holders can choose from two options: face-to-face classes at the Cairns Campus for 20 hours per week plus additional study options, or a flexible option studying 20 hours by joining daytime face-to-face classes and/or virtual evening classes. The flexible timetable is suitable for students who are working or choosing to visit local attractions while in Cairns. Note that this flexible option is NOT available for Student Visa holders.
Classes have an average size of 12 students with a maximum of 15 students. New intakes start every Monday, or on Tuesday if Monday falls on a public holiday.
Skills classes focus on key areas of language development to assist students in making the fastest possible progress. Classes which may be offered include Grammar and Vocabulary, Communication Skills, Academic Skills, Everyday English, Speaking and Listening, and Conversation and Pronunciation.
