The Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity gives you globally transferable skills that open career opportunities across the world. Animation, games and interactive media industries are constantly evolving, often driven by radical technological change. This specialist degree has been designed to keep pace with this speed of change, and prepare you with the practical skills and theoretical foundations to adapt to and lead change in your chosen industry. You’ll be equipped to respond to changes in the animation, games and interactive media fields, with a focus on core principles that can be updated and redefined. You’ll have many industry networking opportunities and build relationships that can open up future collaborations as your career advances. Tuition fees are approximately AUD $36,480 per year for international students and approximately AUD $29,760 per year for domestic students.
Applicants must either have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor's degree (or equivalent overseas qualification), or have at least 3 years of professional experience in animation, games, interactivity, or digital media.
The program has a duration of 24 months (2 years / approximately 104 weeks) and is offered on a full-time, on-campus basis at Melbourne City Campus.
Students may work on real-world creative projects, exhibit work in industry events and festivals, collaborate with industry professionals and academic experts, and build a professional portfolio in animation, games, and interactive media.
International applicants must meet one of the following English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, TOEFL 79+, PTE Academic 58+, or Cambridge CAE 176+.
