The Master of Applied Finance fulfils the educational requirements for admission as a Senior Associate (SA Fin) of Finsia – the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. It also satisfies the education requirements for professional membership of the Finance and Treasury Association (FTA) – Certified Finance and Treasury Professional (CFTP) and the Financial Risk Manager. Additionally, the 160 credit points program has been accepted into the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute University Affiliation Program, and the School of Business has been awarded AACSB accreditation for its excellence in business education.
The Master of Applied Finance is available full time over 2 years, and is also available part time. The program length and structure varies based on previous qualifications and work experience, with pathways of 80, 120, or 160 credit points available.
There are three entry pathways. Entry Pathway 1 (80 credit points) is for applicants who have completed a graduate certificate or higher in a business discipline, or a business-related undergraduate degree with a GPA of 5.0+, or a business undergraduate degree with at least two years of relevant professional work experience. Entry Pathway 2 (120 credit points) is for applicants with an undergraduate degree in a business discipline, or any undergraduate degree plus two years of general work experience. Entry Pathway 3 (160 credit points) is open to any applicant who has completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
The Master of Applied Finance is offered at the Parramatta City campus. There are four intake dates available: 30 March 2026, 22 June 2026, 14 September 2026, and 04 January 2027.
The indicative annual fee for domestic students starts from $11,885. Applicants are advised to check additional fee information as costs may vary depending on the program structure and credit points pathway undertaken.
