Course Overview

About This Course

This course is designed to train graduates for employment as applied statisticians in research organisations, insurance companies, financial institutions, medical institutions, government departments and industries. It includes specialised areas of study, such as generalised linear models, statistical learning, time series and Bayesian Statistics. The course has a strong focus on the application of contemporary statistical methods and the use of the latest computational techniques. The development of relevant computing skills also forms an integral part of this course. The entire course can be completed internally, externally or a combination of the two modes.

AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent
IELTS (Academic) overall band 6.5 with minimum sub-scores: listening 6, reading 6, writing 6, speaking 6, or an approved equivalent
CRICOS-registered course - a valid student visa is required to study on campus
