Yes, Deakin's Master of Artificial Intelligence for Design and Creative Practice is described as the first of its kind in Australia, designed for ambitious creatives looking to evaluate and responsibly integrate AI into creative workflows.
The course can be completed in 1 year full-time (8 credit points, with admission credit applied based on prior qualifications and experience) or 2 years full-time (16 credit points, without admission credit). Part-time equivalents are also available.
Compulsory components include industry-informed project briefs and collaborative studio work that simulate real-world creative challenges. Optional work-integrated learning experiences may involve internships, placements, or partnerships with creative studios, technology companies, or cultural organisations, providing direct exposure to professional environments.
To be considered for the 16-credit point pathway, you will need to have completed a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline. English language proficiency requirements also apply, including an IELTS overall score of 6.5 (with no band score less than 6.0) or equivalent, or a bachelor degree from a recognised English-speaking country.
The estimated tuition fee for a full-fee paying place is $24,600 for 1 year full-time. Tuition fees will vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, the units you choose to study, your study load, and other factors, and fees increase annually at the start of each calendar year.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
