You will complete core and selective units in clinical laboratory sciences, immunology, clinical immunology and immunotherapy, virology and bacteriology. You will also have the option of completing an elective unit and a capstone project which can be either research or industry-related.
The closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 entry it is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
An employment letter demonstrating a minimum of 24 months relevant work experience is required if you do not have an Honours degree or a related postgraduate degree. This requirement is not applicable if you hold a medical degree equivalent to a University of Sydney degree.
You will need to provide a resumé including your education, employment history and relevant experience; proof of identity (valid passport biodata page, or for domestic students an Australian birth certificate or citizenship certificate); current or final official academic transcripts with English translations if applicable; a final testamur or proof of completion of your qualification; proof of English proficiency where required; and for courses with mandatory prerequisites, official detailed unit outlines for relevant prerequisite units.
