Yes, the Master of Building Surveying is professionally accredited by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) and internationally by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), allowing graduates to practise as an accredited building surveyor and certifier anywhere in Australia or around the world.
The program takes 1 year and 4 months (4 semesters) to complete on a full-time basis, with intake dates available in May 2026, September 2026, January 2027, and May 2027.
The program comprises two specialist subjects plus six shared core subjects, plus four postgraduate elective subjects. Semester 1 covers building structure, materials, building controls and regulations plus one elective. Semesters 2 and 3 focus on sustainability and sustainable practices plus electives. Semester 4 covers engineering concepts and planning and assessment processes plus a final elective.
Graduates can pursue senior roles with major construction and development companies or work for themselves as a consultant surveyor. The qualification is accredited nationally and internationally, allowing you to practise as an accredited building surveyor and certifier anywhere in Australia or around the world.
The program is designed in close consultation with the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS), is taught in small, discussion-based groups by experienced industry operators, and is based in Bond's state-of-the-art Built Environment Precinct — which includes the first building in Australia to be awarded a 6-Star Green Star – Education PILOT Certified Rating for design by the Green Building Council of Australia. Students also get access to the latest industry software, tools and technologies.
