Domestic Students

• A recognised bachelor's degree with an equivalent average mark of at least 50%, plus a minimum of three years of relevant full-time professional or managerial experience, or the part-time equivalent, OR A recognised Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate with an equivalent average mark of at least 50%, together with a minimum of five years of relevant full-time professional or managerial experience, or the part-time equivalent, OR Full membership of a qualifying professional body, together with a minimum of five years of relevant full-time professional or managerial experience, or the part-time equivalent, OR For candidates who do not hold tertiary qualifications, the Academic Program Director may accept those with substantial and proven managerial and/or entrepreneurial experience who demonstrate the potential to meet the learning requirements of the MBA. Each case is considered holistically on its individual merits.
• Applications must also include a Statement of Motivation (SOM) which should:
• Address your motivation for studying the Master of Business Administration (Advanced) and how the degree will help you achieve your career goals and aspirations
• Be no more than one page
• Written in English

Work and life experience:

• Admission to UOW is primarily based on your academic qualifications, with work or life experience generally not considered. If you do not meet the academic requirements for this course, we recommend exploring recognised pathway programs, such as those offered by UOW College or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC).

Domestic applicants with overseas qualifications:

• UOW recognises a range of overseas higher education qualifications. Your qualifications will be assessed for equivalence to Australian qualifications and the admission requirements for this course. Documents issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official English translation.

English language proficiency:

• All UOW courses are taught in English and require varying levels of proficiency. If English is not your first language, you must meet the University’s English Language Requirements, which differ by course.
• Accepted international test results include IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge, and OET for specific health-related courses.
• Alternatively, you can fulfill the requirement by completing an English course at UOW College.

International Students
