The total course fees are AUD $50,000 for international students (with tuition per unit at AUD $3,125 and a non-refundable deposit of AUD $500) and AUD $40,000 for domestic students (with tuition per unit at AUD $2,500 and a one-time non-refundable application fee of AUD $500).
To qualify for the award of Master of Business Administration (Agribusiness), a student shall accrue an aggregate of at least 160 credit points, including satisfactory completion of the core units. This comprises 120 credit points of core units and 40 credit points of elective units.
The course is structured over four semesters across two years, with each semester consisting of 12 teaching weeks, plus one review week and one exam week. Year 1 Semester 1 covers Communication and Media Management, Agribusiness Economics and Finance, Leadership in Agribusiness, and Agribusiness Marketing. Year 1 Semester 2 covers Agribusiness Accounting, Food, Fibre, and Protein, International Economic Development, and Introduction to Agroinformatics. Year 2 Semester 1 includes Agribusiness Strategic Management, Research Methodology, and two electives. Year 2 Semester 2 includes Agribusiness Capstone, Value Chain Management in Agribusiness, and two electives.
Applicants whose entry qualifications were obtained in an institution where English is not the language of instruction normally require an International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) score of 6.5, with a score of not less than 6.0 in any of the four skill areas, or equivalent.
Graduates will synthesise and apply knowledge including research principles and methods for managerial decision making in agribusiness; demonstrate integration of modern business decisions and information technology; develop entrepreneurial capabilities; demonstrate highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, autonomy, critical thinking, and creativity; create innovative solutions for complex agribusiness management issues; develop capabilities to become leaders with a commitment to integrity, ethics, and social purpose; apply principles of sustainability to agribusiness practices; and benchmark best management practices to understand agribusiness locally and globally.
