Common Questions
The MBA (Global) is normally completed in 4 semesters of study. However, if you have an Australian bachelor degree in business (or similar discipline), you may be eligible for an exemption of 48 credit points of study. If you receive 48 credit points for previous study, you may be able to qualify with an MBA (Global) in 1.5 years, enabling you to launch your global business career sooner.
This course is delivered in an eight-week block mode, meaning you study two units (subjects) at a time over eight weeks (or one unit at a time over eight weeks for part-time study), rather than juggling several units at once. The VU Block Model® features focused timetables and smaller, collaborative classes, giving you more time to connect with your peers, lecturers and industry partners and helping you build strong professional networks. The VU Block Model® has improved student results and engagement, and has won multiple international awards for innovation and excellence.
You must provide evidence of an approved English language test result. Accepted tests include: IELTS (Academic Module) with an overall score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL Internet with an overall score of 79 (section scores no less than Listening 19, Speaking 19, Reading 18, Writing 22); Pearson Test of English (PTE) with an overall score of 58–64 (no section score less than 50); or University of Cambridge Advanced (CAE) with a total score of 176 (no individual band less than 169). If you completed a qualification where English was the primary language of instruction, you may be eligible for an English language exemption.
Victoria University Business School has partnered with the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia & New Zealand (IML ANZ). As part of this pathway partnership, MBA (Global) students have complimentary access to: Affiliate Membership with IML ANZ for the duration of studies plus an additional year after graduation; use of IML ANZ's nationally recognised post-nominals; Professional Mentoring through IML ANZ's Member Exchange Program; exclusive networking opportunities with leaders across Australia and New Zealand; fortnightly webinars on the latest leadership topics and trends; career development resources including job shadowing, events and blogs; an IML 360 personal development needs analysis; and IML Member lounges in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
The Business Consulting unit (BMO7005) will give you the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in consulting, or to act as an internal consultant within an organisation. You will design, research and manage a business consulting project, and deliver solutions and practical recommendations to satisfy a real-world client. You will benefit from authentic engagement with clients, and targeted feedback from experienced industry practitioners.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
