About This Course

The Master of Business Analytics equips you with the essential skills to undertake real-world analytics work on contemporary business problems, with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, and modern analytics methods and software. You will develop capability across the full analytics lifestyle, from preparing and managing data, building dashboards and visual stories, through to applying descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, including forecasting, optimisation and AI-driven customer and operational insights. You'll gain hands-on experience with widely used industry tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, SAS Viya and advanced Excel, preparing you to lead analytics initiatives in modern organisations.

A recognised bachelor's degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%, OR
A Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%, OR
A recognised master's degree in any discipline with an equivalent average mark of 50%.
Other tertiary qualifications, combined with extensive professional work experience, may also be considered.
Admission to UOW is primarily based on your academic qualifications, with work or life experience generally not considered.
If you do not meet the academic requirements, recognised pathway programs (such as those offered by UOW College or the TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate) are available.
Domestic applicants with overseas qualifications must provide academic records; the course must be at least one-sixth complete. Non-English documents must include an official English translation.
All UOW courses are taught in English; if English is not your first language, you must meet the University's English Language Requirements. Accepted international test results include IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Cambridge, and OET for specific health-related courses.

Students who complete this program will earn two master's degrees in two years and build expertise in two in-demand areas of business.

What are the tuition fees for domestic students and are there any subsidies available?

The indicative session fee for Wollongong on-campus delivery is $12,564 (2026), with a total indicative course fee of $50,258 (2026). In 2026, domestic students may be eligible for either a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) or a UOW-subsidised fee reduction of up to 75% off the listed fees. UOW also offers a variety of scholarships for both domestic and international students ranging from 10% to 100%.

When are the application deadlines for Trimester 1 2026?

For Trimester 1, 2026, the application deadline for international students is 18 November 2025, and for domestic (direct) applicants it is 31 December 2025. The session starts on 9 February 2026, with a census date of 2 March 2026, and the session ends on 1 May 2026.
