Common Questions
The Master of Business Analytics is 4 semesters of study. However, if you have an Australian bachelor degree in business (or similar discipline), you may be eligible for an exemption of 48 credit points of study, which could allow you to qualify with a masters in 1.5 years.
The course is delivered using the VU Block Model, an eight-week mode where you study two units (subjects) at a time over eight weeks (or one unit at a time over eight weeks for part-time study), rather than juggling several units at once. This model features focused timetables and smaller, collaborative classes to help you build strong professional networks with peers, lecturers and industry partners.
The fees for 2026 are AU$19,100 per semester, with a scholarship available. The course has a CRICOS code of 105072M.
Using open-source environments, R and Python, you will discover the principles of data science, DataViz, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The curriculum also covers data wrangling, predictive analytics and big data, data security and governance, business data mining and warehousing, and IT project management.
You must provide evidence of an approved English language test result, including: IELTS (Academic Module) overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Internet overall score of 79 (Listening 19, Speaking 19, Reading 18, Writing 22); Pearson Test of English (PTE) overall score 58-64 with no section score less than 50; or Cambridge Advanced (CAE) total score of 176 with no individual band less than 169. Students who do not meet these requirements may undertake an intensive English course at the English Language School in Sydney (ELSIS).

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
